Five diamond medallions travel the length of this vintage Persian Shiraz runner like woven panels. Dark green and warm red give way to a vivid blue centre, linked by ivory sawtooth outlines across the deep red field. Rosettes animate the intervals, while a broad cream floral border lifts the composition.

Hand-knotted in Iran from pure wool pile, this one-of-a-kind runner has mellowed without losing its colour. Its long proportions can turn a hallway or entrance from a passage into a considered part of the home.
