One-of-a-kind hand-knotted piece

No two are alike - each rug carries its own pattern, colour balance and handmade character

Geometry gives this Persian Meimeh wool rug its unmistakable presence. A stepped navy diamond medallion, edged in ivory and centred by a cross-shaped motif, commands the warm red field. Around it, compact geometric forms repeat in measured rows, while navy corner sections and a broad compartmental border give the composition architectural definition.

Hand-knotted in Iran within the Meymeh weaving tradition near Isfahan, the rug is woven with a pure wool pile. Rich colour and disciplined symmetry allow the abundant motif work to feel purposeful rather than crowded, creating a one-of-a-kind Persian rug with visual depth, confident structure and detail that rewards a closer look.

Care & Maintenance

  • Hand-knotted wool rugs are made to last with the right care. Vacuum gently using a suction-only setting, rotate the rug occasionally for even wear, and blot any marks promptly with a clean cloth rather than rubbing.
  • For deeper cleaning, professional rug cleaning is recommended to help protect the wool fibres, natural dyes and hand-knotted structure of the rug.

Note

  • Each rug is professionally photographed to represent its colours as accurately as possible, while natural light, pile direction and digital display settings may create subtle variations in tone.
  • Where additional colour is required, the wool in our hand-knotted rugs is coloured exclusively with vegetable dyes, complementing the fibre’s natural tonal variation and the individual character of the weave.
  • Over time, vegetable-dyed handmade rugs may gently soften in tone, adding to the natural ageing and textile character that makes each piece unique.
