Two pale oval medallions seem to float across a field of softened olive beige. Around them, delicate vines, small rosettes and floral forms appear almost weightless, their ivory outlines touched with muted gold, soft brown and the faintest blush. A broad pale border opens the composition further, giving the pattern an airy, collected elegance.

Look beneath that calm surface and the handwork becomes the story. The pure wool pile, knotted in Afghanistan, carries subtle shifts of tone and line that give the pale design visible depth. This is Ziegler patterning at its most understated: quiet in colour, rich in detail.
