A ribbon of golden ochre runs between borders alive with colour. Dark oval medallions travel down the field in ordered rows, while small red and blue forms brighten the spaces between them. At the edges, turquoise, navy, rust and green geometry gathers into densely patterned bands.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan with a pure wool pile, this Afghan Turkoman runner balances its lively palette with an assured sense of order. Pale fringe neatly finishes each end.
