One-of-a-kind hand-knotted piece

No two are alike - each rug carries its own pattern, colour balance and handmade character

Each hand-knotted rug is one of a kind, but recommended handmade pieces are shown below.

A deep red field gives this Afghan Turkoman Runner Rug a rich traditional base, with octagonal gul medallions running through the centre and a dark charcoal frame holding the pattern together. The border has strong geometric movement, while small ivory accents add contrast across the red and charcoal design.

Hand knotted in wool and coloured with vegetable dyes, this red Afghan runner is well suited to hallways, entrances, bedside placement or narrow spaces needing a handmade tribal accent. The visible fringe, close border detail and folded-corner reverse add texture and finish, giving the piece a confident Afghan Turkoman character with strong decorative depth.

Care & Maintenance

  • Hand-knotted wool rugs are made to last with the right care. Vacuum gently using a suction-only setting, rotate the rug occasionally for even wear, and blot any marks promptly with a clean cloth rather than rubbing.
  • For deeper cleaning, professional rug cleaning is recommended to help protect the wool fibres, natural dyes and hand-knotted structure of the rug.

Note

  • Each rug is professionally photographed to represent its colours as accurately as possible, while natural light, pile direction and digital display settings may create subtle variations in tone.
  • Where additional colour is required, the wool in our hand-knotted rugs is coloured exclusively with vegetable dyes, complementing the fibre’s natural tonal variation and the individual character of the weave.
  • Over time, vegetable-dyed handmade rugs may gently soften in tone, adding to the natural ageing and textile character that makes each piece unique.
