The eye is drawn straight down a column of dark octagonal guls, each one isolated against an expanse of saturated red. Their generous spacing gives the field unusual calm, while layered bands of lozenges, hooks and scrolling forms gather densely at the edges.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from pure wool pile, this Turkoman runner balances bold scale with disciplined restraint. Burgundy, charcoal and dark brown deepen the geometry, with muted green appearing in the finer details. It feels traditional without becoming visually heavy-a long, confident composition built around rhythm and space.
