One-of-a-kind hand-knotted piece

No two are alike - each rug carries its own pattern, colour balance and handmade character

This Afghan Turkoman Wool Rug feels instantly different because of its green centre, a colour that gives the traditional gul layout a brighter, more spirited character. The two octagonal medallions sit with clear spacing, letting the field breathe while the red border carries the heavier tribal rhythm around it.

Hand knotted in wool, the rug balances boldness with control. Blue, ochre and ivory accents appear in small flashes through the border and end details, adding energy without crowding the design. It is compact, colourful and strongly patterned, with the symmetry of Turkoman weaving made more expressive by its unusual green ground.

Care & Maintenance

  • Hand-knotted wool rugs are made to last with the right care. Vacuum gently using a suction-only setting, rotate the rug occasionally for even wear, and blot any marks promptly with a clean cloth rather than rubbing.
  • For deeper cleaning, professional rug cleaning is recommended to help protect the wool fibres, natural dyes and handmade structure of the rug.

Note

  • Each rug is professionally photographed to represent its colours as accurately as possible, while natural light, pile direction and digital display settings may create subtle variations in tone.
  • Each hand-knotted rug is coloured using 100% vegetable dyes, giving the fibres natural depth, gentle tonal movement and the individual character of handmade weaving.
  • Over time, vegetable-dyed handmade rugs may gently soften in tone, adding to the natural ageing and textile character that makes each piece unique.
