One-of-a-kind hand-knotted piece

No two are alike - each rug carries its own pattern, colour balance and handmade character

Three geometric medallions set the rhythm of this Afghan Super Kazak rug, their deep navy centres structured by ivory stepped forms and warm rust-red outlines. Smaller diamond motifs punctuate the softly striated beige field, while pale blue, teal and ochre accents keep the composition lively without disturbing its symmetry. Layered floral-geometric borders finish the design in bands of navy, rust and golden ochre.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from pure wool, the rug combines emphatic geometry with finely distributed detail. Its light ground gives every medallion and border room to register, creating a composition that feels richly patterned yet carefully ordered.

Care & Maintenance

  • Hand-knotted wool rugs are made to last with the right care. Vacuum gently using a suction-only setting, rotate the rug occasionally for even wear, and blot any marks promptly with a clean cloth rather than rubbing.
  • For deeper cleaning, professional rug cleaning is recommended to help protect the wool fibres, natural dyes and hand-knotted structure of the rug.

Note

  • Each rug is professionally photographed to represent its colours as accurately as possible, while natural light, pile direction and digital display settings may create subtle variations in tone.
  • Where additional colour is required, the wool in our hand-knotted rugs is coloured exclusively with vegetable dyes, complementing the fibre’s natural tonal variation and the individual character of the weave.
  • Over time, vegetable-dyed handmade rugs may gently soften in tone, adding to the natural ageing and textile character that makes each piece unique.
