Afghan Chobi Wool Rug - 141 × 103 cm Rust-Red Floral Border
Afghan Chobi Wool Rug - 141 × 103 cm Rust-Red Floral Border
One-of-a-kind hand-knotted piece
No two are alike - each rug carries its own pattern, colour balance and handmade character
The beauty of this Afghan Chobi wool rug lies in how generously its pattern breathes. Flowering vines, rosettes and stylised flowerheads unfold across a warm ivory-beige field, each motif given room to register. A broad rust-red border gathers the composition with larger floral forms, adding depth and a confident frame around the lighter centre.
Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from hand-spun wool on a cotton foundation, the rug draws on Chobi weaving tradition and Ziegler-style floral design. The open field and warm border give this compact piece a gracious sense of order, while the finer tonal details reward a closer look.

Care & Maintenance
- Hand-knotted wool rugs are made to last with the right care. Vacuum gently using a suction-only setting, rotate the rug occasionally for even wear, and blot any marks promptly with a clean cloth rather than rubbing.
- For deeper cleaning, professional rug cleaning is recommended to help protect the wool fibres, natural dyes and hand-knotted structure of the rug.
Note
- Each rug is professionally photographed to represent its colours as accurately as possible, while natural light, pile direction and digital display settings may create subtle variations in tone.
- Where additional colour is required, the wool in our hand-knotted rugs is coloured exclusively with vegetable dyes, complementing the fibre’s natural tonal variation and the individual character of the weave.
- Over time, vegetable-dyed handmade rugs may gently soften in tone, adding to the natural ageing and textile character that makes each piece unique.
