Khurjeen rugs are woven by Turkmen and Hazara tribes in the central and Northern
provinces of Afghanistan. Khurjeen rugs are unique because of their pattern and delicate designs specially mixing contemporary and traditional designs together. The wool yarns used are all hand spun and dyed using only natural dyes such as cochineal and indigo, which adds to their vibrant appearance. Once dyed and hand knotted on a cotton warp base in Afghanistan the rugs are then transported over to Pakistan where they are expertly finished including washing and trimming.

Care & Maintenance
- Hand-knotted wool rugs are made to last with the right care. Vacuum gently using a suction-only setting, rotate the rug occasionally for even wear, and blot any marks promptly with a clean cloth rather than rubbing.
- For deeper cleaning, professional rug cleaning is recommended to help protect the wool fibres, natural dyes and handmade structure of the rug.
Note
- Each rug is professionally photographed to represent its colours as accurately as possible, while natural light, pile direction and digital display settings may create subtle variations in tone.
- Each hand-knotted rug is coloured using 100% vegetable dyes, giving the fibres natural depth, gentle tonal movement and the individual character of handmade weaving.
- Over time, vegetable-dyed handmade rugs may gently soften in tone, adding to the natural ageing and textile character that makes each piece unique.
